I was invited to present at Berklee College of Music during their 2019 Electronic Music Production and Sound Design weekend. In the 3-day event, I gave three 2-hour keynotes covering: Electronic Music Production, Electronic Music Performance, and Career Paths in Music. There are about 100 attendees, most of them high school, and all of them talented and motivated producers. Thanks Berklee College of Music for having me!
I had the privilege speaking at the Citi Ventures off-site in New York City. The theme for the day was “creativity and grit”. I shared my story of going from musician at age 7, to DJ’ing at age 16, to touring the world with Madonna, to finding an even higher calling: teaching and inspiring kids (and adults) how to create music.
In 2019, I collaborated with the Red Hat creative team and an old friend, Mike Walker (Red Hat - Senior Director...and former DMC USA Champion) to create and perform the a custom-tailored musical intro to kick-off their 8000+ attendee Red Hat Summit.
I also created all of the walk-up music for all of the speakers, which included keynotes from Red Hat CEO Jim Whitehurst, IBM CEO Ginni Rometty, and Delta CIO Rahul Samant.
In addition, I DJ'ed the opening of each of the general sessions. Great experience working with a great team!
