Tour Update…From Oslo

A lot has happened since my last tour update.  We traveled to Italy and performed in Milan and Udine.  Seeing the Duomo Cathedral in Milan has been one of the highlights of this tour so far.  I’m lucky enough to have gotten to see it with all the scaffolding removed that had been there for years.  Loved the food in Italy…WOW.  I found that the more casual spots have had the best food.  Udine was a change of pace.  It was a smaller, laid back town and that was great.

It was in Udine that we found out about the accident in Marseilles.  We found out right before our performance in Udine.  It was shocking news and it hit me (and everyone else) very hard.  2 people lost their lives trying to prepare the stage for us to perform.  I feel so sorry for those people and their families, and my prayers are with them.

This meant that the show in Marseilles was canceled.  Instead, we would travel there as planned and have a few days off before continuing to Spain.  Between Marseilles, Barcelona, Madrid, and Zaragoza, I got enough sun on the dome to last for at least a couple of weeks!  Can you say, SPF70??  Yeah, and I still got tan.  It was hot!  Spain was beautiful.  In Barcelona, I had some visitors: my sister, her friends, and my friend Chuck (aka DJ Dirty Hands from DC).  Good times hanging out!

I’m now in Oslo, Norway, and it seems like the summer has skipped ahead to fall.  Great city so far.  This Thursday at Barbeint should be a great time after the concert.  I’ll post another blog in a couple of weeks.  Check out the rest of the pics in the PHOTOS section under “Sticky & Sweet 2009 Tour  Pt 2″.  Check out the video at the bottom of this post.
